We’ve been in the renovation and custom cabinetry business for nearly 40 years and have been building wall beds into our renovations for over 20. We take pride in the premium luxury level of our finishing. We hand select each sheet of wood from the ‘A’ grade shipment choosing materials exclusively for their degree of quality. Our cuts, done using computer-guided saws accurate to within half of a millimeter are all hand finished and sanded. True craftsmanship is an impeccable commitment to the finest details, carried across the entire work process. The patented Murphy Bed™ mechanism is a counter-balanced spring loaded system proven over many years to be the most reliable mechanism on the market with over 200 000 in use worldwide. The lightweight, black pebble powder, frame finished here in Canada and custom designed tubular leg system rotates up and down in one smooth motion to prevent toe stubs and makes it is incredibly safe to raise and lower for children, seniors and everyone in between.

Our manufacturing facility, located in Calgary, has state-of-the art-machinery and has long term experienced employees enabling us to achieve a high level of product quality and sophistication well beyond industry standards. We do not mass-produce anything, so you can rest assured that you are receiving the highest quality product at an affordable price.
Our cabinetry is constructed with premium grade woods, veneers and melamine. The bed fronts are made of ¾” thick materials and our cabinet backs, sides and bottoms are 5/8” thick with dado joints, dowelled and glued. Our drawer boxes have full extension slides rated at 150lbs and our laminate or wooden tops are doubled to ensure there will be no sagging. We grain match all door and drawer fronts as well as custom stain match to ensure consistency and quality.

Our Service Promise

At Custom Wall-Beds and Wall-beds Alberta customer service is extremely important to us. We offer complimentary on-site consultations to discuss our products and how they could work into a design that will best meet your needs. To design each space with accuracy and creativity, we create 3-D computerized drawings to help you visualize your Murphy Bed™ and cabinet options. When the drawings are completed, we invite you to come in to go over the drawings and quote. Coming into our showroom allows you to see and operate our products plus give visual aid in your cabinet choices.

If you are unhappy with your wall bed we will work with you to make it right. After 35 years of building custom wall beds we are happy to say that we’ve had to service less than 1% of our beds.

Visit Our Showroom

We ask that prospective clients come into our showroom to see first hand, the high quality of our work. You can put our One Arm Guarantee to the test by trying the patented Murphy Bed mechanism for yourself, see the beds in their various sizes and options, as well as talk to us about your space and what you want to achieve.

After your showroom visit we will meet you onsite to take measurements and begin planning out how to create your space.

On Site Consultation

A designer will come out to your location, measure your space, take notes and talk with you about your specific needs and wants. We will take into consideration everything related to your new renovation - the current decor, colours, handles, existing mouldings, plugins, windows, heating, sprinkler heads, bulkheads and doors while making suggestions on possible designs or ideas.

After collecting this information, we take it back to the shop and begin to draw out ideas using 3D CAD programing to create the room for you to see. We typically create two or three different room renderings and pricing for you to consider.

3-D Drawings

Custom designed and installed, end-to-end.

To design each space with accuracy and creativity, we create 3-D computerized drawings to help you visualize your Murphy Bed™ and cabinet options. When the drawings are completed, we will call and arrange a time for you to come into the showroom to go over the drawings and quote. You can only see the drawings in 3D if you come in and if you want to see any changes, they can be done right before your eyes. The quote describes the materials, products, colours and components. Coming into the showroom also allows you to check out our quality, operate the beds, open and close doors plus use them visually to aid with your cabinet choices.
